  • I'm currently CEO of Mashery, a web services startup.

    I founded Mashery after leaving Feedster, where I was VP Business Development.

    Before Feedster, I've had a bunch of various similar jobs running companies in a wide range of dissimilar industries, from manufacturing to entertainment to online auctions. These include being president, CEO or COO of, ColtHR, Justice Design, and The Groundlings.

    I have a BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School.

Have you seen Hyperic's site? It gives you not only red/yellow/green status of the moment but also a graph of availability over time.



Hope yu used AWS for your Gold Support. We have yet to graduate to that level and are considering Rackspace's offerings mostly becasue of their fanatical support.

I would like to get your take on AWS's tech team. Are they are reactionary instead of pro-actively monitoring your EC2 and S3's?

Do you use a something like "New Relic" to monitor performance?

Did you look at hiring someone over paying AWS to handle this for you?
