About Me

  • I'm currently CEO of Mashery, a web services startup.

I founded Mashery after leaving Feedster, where I was VP Business Development.

Before Feedster, I've had a bunch of various similar jobs running companies in a wide range of dissimilar industries, from manufacturing to entertainment to online auctions. These include being president, CEO or COO of winebid.com, ColtHR, Justice Design, and The Groundlings.

I have a BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School.

Congrats to Technorati...but where is everyone?

James Gross, Feedster's peripatetic community relations expert, just returned from SXSW in Austin. He had a great time, and had some great posts about the show and how Austin is different than San Francisco.

One surprising bit of news was that our friends at Technorati won the big prize - "Best of Show" - beating out the other 80 companies that presented, and joining Eminem for top honors. The surprise is not that they won - 'Rati does a terrific job, theyve added a lot of cool new features, and their site redesign has been very well received. What's surprising is that CEO David Sifry hasn't blogged about it...and near as I can tell, no one at 'Rati has. Dave - you haven't gone all shy and humble on us, have you?  Say it ain't so...

Thanks for the kind words. Mostly we've just been very very busy - almost too busy to blog!

Dave

Phew - he lives! Thanks for stopping by, Dave...I was worried!
